Butler - Private Household - West of Home Counties

An experienced, professional traditional country house Butler is required to provide a consistent high level of service for a VIP family living in West of Home Counties, with availability to travel with the family occasionally.

The  family are non-smokers who reside in a clean and healthy environment and own several different properties worldwide, although this position in based in the UK and classed as the main residence.  Full Staff employed including Housekeeper, PA, Ladies Maid, 2 Dailies, Laundress and Estate and gardening teams, all of which have longevity on the estate.

Duties and responsibilities include being responsible for properly setting table & serving at meals, being able to implement and execute set schedule for silver cleaning, overseeing the care of indoor plants and flowers, answering the telephone and taking detailed messages, greeting guests and/or visitors and care of Gentlemen’s wardrobe.  In addition you will also be responsible for the wine cellar and inventory of wine.  You must have excellent inter personal skills and be able to interact and communicate with housekeepers, chef, and security and also be able to report daily activities to the Principal.

Flexibility is essential and you must be willing to run various errands and coordinate general and annual maintenance of the home.  Strong Administrative Skills are required to maintain inventory on all linens, silverware and china.  Computer Skills and knowledge of basic software, to be able to maintain files, keep all records up-to-date (i.e. contacts in rolodex, manuals for appliances or equipment, calendars).  You should be able to maintain communications with office staff & report and maintain petty cash account. 

Excellent salary package and conditions offered to an immaculately presented, articulate and charismatic person with flair and a first class private country house service.  The position is open to single or married candidates, an older child may also be acceptable as may a pet. Restaurant Manager - West Sussex

This hotel, is set in the beautiful Sussex countryside and has 18 bedrooms and also boasts an oak panelled intimate Restaurant which holds a Michelin Star, three rosettes from the AA and 6/10 in the Good Food Guide. The Zagat Guide rates it "Top" for décor, food and service amongst Restaurants outside London.

There are two menus; a daily three course table d'hôte menu and a seasonal three course menu.  It also has an extensive wine list of over 600 bins and are renowned for having one of the finest cellars in the UK.

Assistant Manager - Richmond

They are currently looking to recruit a Reservations Manager to support the Yield Manager whilst adhering to selling strategies and yield management techniques as directed.  To be responsible for handling all telephone calls, email, fax and letter enquiries/bookings to the required standard.  In help develop and maintain the Hotel’s relationship with our GDS Provider and to manage the Development and Training of the reservation team.  To assist in all rate loading on GDS and PMS systems in a timely and accurate manner.   To be responsible for all departmental administrations duties as required and to monitor and charge on a daily basis all non arrivals and late cancellations.  To ensure timely processing of commission statements.  To ensure that the departmental and inter departmental Training plan is implemented for all new starters in Res and FOH and that the schedule is adhered to re follow up refresher training. 

You must possess an excellent verbal and written communication as well as analytical skills.  Essential skills required are good knowledge of the Hospitality industry, good PC Skills including Microsoft office and a flexible working approach.  This role would suit a candidate that has been in a similar role or is ready for the next career move from a senior reservations supervisor.  Desirable skills are experience with the Protel PMS/computer system, Synxis (GDS Provider), Ideas Yield Management System and with Delphi Event Mangement System

Sarah brings with her a wealth of recruitment experience as well as sound knowledge of the Hospitality Industry which she has been in since training for her degree in Hospitality in 1993.  Sarah has worked in many Country House Hotels as well as 4/5* establishments in the South East.  More recently, Sarah has been in Recruitment, travelling nationally for a work-based training provider to promote training within the Hospitality Industry.
